Elise is an award-winning Melbourne-based playwright, author and performer, working and living on Boon Wurrung country.

Her debut novel, One Day We’re All Going to Die was published in September 2023 by HQ Fiction, Harper Collins Australia. It was shortlisted for The Age Book of the Year Award 2024. Her essay, Pickle Project, appeared in the Ruptured anthology published in 2025.

Her plays have appeared at various theatres around Australia, including A Very Jewish Christmas Carol (Melbourne Theatre Company) and Yentl, the winner of Green Room Award for Outstanding Writing (Sydney Opera House, Malthouse Theatre and Arts Centre Melbourne). Her newest play, Batsheva, won the 2025 Edith Hausmann Award for Jewish Playwrights.

Elise is currently working on various screen projects with MOFA and Screen Invaders.
